Pre-Kindergarten

Hope's Pre-Kindergarten classrooms are designed for students, who turn 4 on or before September 1st of the school year. Our Pre-Kindergarten curriculum is structured around monthly themes and includes lessons in literacy, math and science, as well as art and music. Our curriculum is designed to prepare your child for the academic, social and spiritual demands of kindergarten.

Expectations

Must be 4 years old on or before September 1st

Must be potty trained

Goals

  • Develop Math Reasoning - Counting to 20, number identification, shape formation, exposure to time, weight and measuring

  • Develop Literacy - Identify at least 20 upper and lower case letters, exposure to letter families and sight words, retelling and sentence dictation, rhyming

  • Fine & Gross Motor - Write first/last name, refine pencil grip, cut on a straight line, catch/throw a ball, organized games

  • Spiritual Development - Prayer, New & Old Testament lessons, kindness, sharing​

Two Day - Monday and Wednesday from 9AM - 1PM

Two Day - Tuesday and Thursday from 9AM - 1PM

Three Day - Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 9AM - 1PM

Four Day - Monday through Thursday from 9AM - 1PM

Program Pricing

Two days per week $215.00 /Month

Three days per week $275.00/Month

Four days per week $350.00/Month

There is a $50 non-refundable registration fee plus 1/2 of the first month tuition due upon registration. Programs subject to change if enrollment minimums are not met. A discount is available for families with multiple children enrolled at Hope Preschool. Inquire upon registration.

-Observe Weather and Plant Life during each season

-Measure and mix ingredients while cookin

-Explore a variety of art processes: painting, drawing, sculpture, weaving, collage, etc.

-Use a variety of art materials: Crayons, Tempera Paint, Watercolor Paint, Colored Pencils, Markers, Oil Pastels, Art Chalk, Clay

-Experiment with mixing paint colors

-Participate in movement songs and dances

-Use scarves, rhythm sticks and beans bags to practice rhythms

-Participate in dramatic play

-Practice problem-solving skills in social situations

-Work in groups or with a partner on a variety of projects
